Foundry, conveying, rail sand filling & shockwave cleaning
KLEIN Anlagenbau AG
From foundry and conveying systems to shockwave technology, KLEIN Group expands how materials are processed. CERABITE® uses high-voltage underwater discharges to clean complex castings, with further applications in recycling and natural-fiber processing.
CERABITE® · HIGH-VOLTAGE SHOCKWAVE TECHNOLOGY
Electrical energy released underwater becomes a powerful shockwave. It loosens residues inside complex geometries and opens applications from cleaning to material recovery.

HOW IT WORKS
Electrical energy is stored in high-voltage capacitors.
An electrode releases the stored energy into the water, generating a shockwave.
Reflected shockwaves and flowing water break up and loosen residues inside the part.
APPLICATIONS

Shockwaves and water flow loosen sand, ceramic cores and metal chips inside cylinder heads, engine blocks and turbine components, reaching areas conventional cleaning struggles to access.

Controlled underwater fragmentation helps separate materials from waste electrical and electronic equipment. Developed in collaboration with Fraunhofer IWKS, the technology also supports continuous production with two shock chambers.

Shockwave technology also processes natural fibers such as hemp, separating fibers and preparing feedstock for yarn production to support more sustainable textile manufacturing.
